Eco Paths

A morning walk through the woods or weekend hike can mean more than a relaxing time in nature. Trails can be a point of encounter with the history and sense of identity of the local community.

The Eco Paths in the district of Kassel are intended to encourage people to deal with the history of the region, to see witnesses of the past with different eyes and thus to preserve them for the future. The maps and audio guides of Eco Paths give information on the history and development of human work and the associated changes in the environment. Working with local communities, Eco Paths is designed to guide trailblazers to See the place, Discover the roots and understand the present.
